Arsenal Review: It’s a new era

The ultimate social media banter club – this could change this season. For the first time in my lifetime, Arsene Wenger isn’t going to be in Arsenal dugouts. Unai Emery is the man to first fill the big boots of the Arsenal and PL legend which of course is a big task. This is because it could horribly wrong or incredibly very well, but if I were to be an Arsenal fan, I’ll be filled with Optimism (at least Wenger is gone lol).

Manager Unai Emery gets his first taste of the Premier League against Champions City on Sunday

Let’s talk about the football, Emery will not play the Old way, they will be a lot more direct as well as the football being pleasing to the eyes. I droll over the prospects of having two top forwards in Aubamenyang and Lacazette with Mesut Ozil and Henrik Mhkitaryan just behind. The midfield addition of Lucas Torerria to Xhaka and Ramsey. They have also done good business in defence as well ad bringing in a good goalkeeper. The squad is also big enough for their Europa league commitment which is where I think their title/top 4 ambitions will take a hit.

The should mostly probably face the rebuilding of the squad and moving on from the “Wenger mood”. They also have to work on their defensive errors, they had 15 errors leading to goals last year. Other than that, I tip them to win the Europa League this season, they came close last year. So, #COYG

Arsenal should be ready to move on from the Wenger Era

Players that I feel will have points to prove:

Alex Lacazette: A record signing last year summer, was almost so bad another forward was bought for a new record fee by January. Arsenal fans will want goals from him as well as bright partnership with Aubameyang. He has this season to produce.

Mkhitaryan Henrikh: He’ll like to show us the qualities that brought him from the German league to PL as well as telling Jose Mourinho he was wrong to ship him off in a deal with Arsenal for Sanchez. Just a reminder of what he is all about.

Hector Bellerin: Fashion Model or an actual Footballer? I want the latter in the 2018/2019 season. His place is under threat with Licestener coming from Juventus, so boy fight for your spot!!

Predicted Finish: 6th
