Double Game week Thirty-Two Preview – Part 2

The first round of matches for the game week thirty-two are done, the second round of matches will be played on Tuesday and Wednesday with just five matches. So, here is the second part of the double game week preview as well.

Watford vs Fulham (Tuesday, 19:45)
You have to feel for Watford, they played so well at Old Trafford on Saturday but still lost. It shows you how hard it is to play in the Premier League. Coming into this game against Fulham, they will have the FA cup Semis in mind, it probably will affect their preparations and their approach to the game, although I still think they would win. Fulham have it all to do, it’s win or bust for them here. If they lose, that’s relegation confirmed for them. With all the money they spent at the beginning of the season, it’s really disappointing to see them go back into the Championship immediately after getting into the Premier League. But for all it’s worth, they have to show a fighting spirit and not just lay down for anyone to run them over, there’s really nothing to lose here and they should go for it.
Prediction: Watford to win 2:1 (Gray to score).

Wolves vs Manchester United (Tuesday, 19:45).
I’m interested in seeing how much Solskjaer has learnt from the last time these teams met some weeks ago. They were really poor in that game but I think we might see a different team this time around, probably because Wolves may not be fully focused on the game seeing that they have an FA cup semi-final in Wembley as well. Man United have to do more than they did against Watford, they already know how dangerous Wolves can be. Big players have to turn up for them, anything sort of a win here could seriously hamper their top four hopes. For the result, I’m tempted to go for draw but I think Wolves FA cup distractions could play a big part and with United having the likes of Lukaku and Martial fit, the red devils might just nick it.
Prediction: Man United to win 1:0 (Lukaku to score).

Chelsea vs Brighton (Wednesday, 19:45).
I think it was shocking to see Hazard starting on the bench against Cardiff, had they lost that game, Sarri would have had a earful, I mean what’s the point of resting your best player when he is fit? They were extremely lucky to get that win and that incidents in that match strengthens the argument for the introduction of VAR in the league. This match against Brighton should be a routine victory, that’s if the right things are done anyways. Brighton should be worried, they aren’t exactly safe yet and losing this game won’t do them any good. They have to pull an upset here to help themselves but I don’t see that happening.
Prediction: Chelsea to win 3:1 (Hazard to score).

Manchester City vs Cardiff (Wednesday, 19:45).
Cardiff would have felt undone by the officiating against Chelsea and understandably so. They were few minutes from securing one of the wins of the season, they play so well and did so much to keep Chelsea at bay but they ended up losing. They have to move their focus to Man City now who I’m sure will play them better than Chelsea did. Man City knows that if they win all the games they have left, they would be champions again, so I think they will keep approaching each match with that mindset because they can’t afford to slip. Like I say most times, the only thing I can’t predict correctly when City is at home would be the amount of goals they would score, the wins come easy for them.
Prediction: City to win 3:0 (Sane to score).

Spurs vs Crystal Palace (Wednesday, 19:45).
Tottenham are finally getting into their new stadium and a London derby is certainly a good game to start with. I watched Spurs against Liverpool and I thought they played better in the second half of the match till that late error cost them the three points. Going into this game, I feel they really don’t have any more points to spare, Arsenal have more points than them now, Man United and Chelsea are also knocking. They’ve lost four in five games, picking just one point in the process and Palace will be looking to add to their misery in this match. The Eagles are most probably safe with one win from their seven remaining games could mathematically guarantee them a next season in the premier league, so I think they might play with no pressure. For this match result, I believe Spurs will use their new stadium excitement as an extra motivation to win this game.
Prediction: Spurs to win 3:1 (Kane to score).
