Gameweek Eleven Preview

The Premier League lost a very important person this past week, a legend in his own right, Leicester City’s owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, who showed the whole world that in football, anything and everything is possible by helping Leicester City to a seemingly impossible Title Triumph in the 2015/2016 Premier League season, my thoughts and prayers are with his family and the Leicester City community as a whole. Moving on, we have an interesting game week ahead and I’ll give you my thoughts and predictions on the ten games as you read on.

Bournemouth vs Manchester United (Saturday, 1:30pm).
I’m not yet convinced on the “revival” that Man United are having, their defence is still leaky, they are vulnerable to teams that are fast on the break and that’s the sort of team that Bournemouth are. The cherries are dangerous on the counter and they take almost every chance that comes their way. Bournemouth have taken themselves way up the table and Manchester United will be looking to climb over them starting with this game and taking three points off them, this game is difficult predict and while I’m thinking United should win this, I will be going with a score draw.
Prediction: 2-2 Draw. (King to score).

Cardiff City vs Leicester City (Saturday, 4pm).
This is one match that can go anyway and not easy to say what will happen. Leicester could be so overwhelmed by the tragedy last week and not play well or they could be motivated to win and give Vichai a good send forth.
Prediction: Leicester to win 2-0. (Vardy to score).

Everton vs Brighton (Saturday, 4pm).
I think against Man United last week, Everton were unlucky, the could have gotten at least a point from Old Trafford. I also think they will have too much for Brighton that maybe struggle away from home. The Introduction of Bernard to the left wing as well as shifting Richarlison into the forward position has helped them build the team around Sigurdsson and they seem to be clicking. Great match to watch tactically.
Prediction: Everton to win 3-1. (Richarlison to score).

Newcastle United vs Watford (Saturday, 4pm).
When will Newcastle eventually win a game? I honestly don’t think it will be this week either, I think Watford will have to much for them. Rafa Benitez’s job is definitely on the line now and he and his team can’t afford another home loss. Watford have found their mojo back, they are beating anything now and Newcastle will likely fall in line.
Prediction: Watford to win 2-0. (Pereyra to score).

WestHam United vs Burnley (Saturday, 4pm).
Westham has been inconsistent, win today, lose tomorrow. They rely so much on Arnautovic for goals that whenever he doesn’t score, they don’t seem to win. Losing to Spurs in midweek would have done their confidence bad, it might tell in this match against Burnley. We definitely are not seeing the Burnley of last season that was tearing and ripping the league apart this year.  I feel this match will be open and end in a draw.
Prediction: 1-1 Draw. (Arnautovic to score).

Arsenal vs Liverpool (Saturday, 6:30pm).
Liverpool will seek to continue their unbeaten run by defeating Arsenal at the Emirates. Arsenal seem like a good team at the moment and this is sort of the first big team they are facing since they started their unbeaten run as well. I think Arsenal will fall short of this test. They score a lot but their defending could be very terrible at times. Liverpool punishes mistakes after forcing you to make them and Arsenal might not cope with Liverpool’s attacking. This particular game has served goals and I’m hoping this one will be no different.
Prediction: Liverpool to win 3-2. (Mane to score).

Wolves vs Tottenham Hotspur (Saturday, 8:45pm).
This is a late late night game and it might be coming to early for Wolves especially in their current form. The team has played well all season but have refused to score enough goals to earn them points and I don’t think playing against Spurs is what they need right now. Spurs themselves have not been what we have come to know of Pochettino’s teams, they are also not scoring enough but they are still defending well. Harry Kane is firing as normal. I still think they will beat wolves regardless.
Prediction: Spurs to win 3-1. (Lamela to score).

Manchester City vs Southampton (Sunday, 4pm).
I believe this will be a routine win for the City. I have said before that the only confusion I have for a game involving City and these type of teams is the amount of goals City will score. Southampton play as if scoring is a taboo, Mark Hughes sets them up not to lose but City will overpower them. I’m going for a big scoreline and a victory for Man City to continue their unbeaten record this season.
Prediction: City to win 5-0. (Sterling to score).

Chelsea vs Crystal Palace (Sunday, 5pm).
I think Chelsea will also keep their unbeaten record this week. Palace were impressive last week against Arsenal but Chelsea at the Bridge is a tough task for anyone. Sarri has said Hazard will be fit to play for 40-45 mins, so I’ll be watching how he uses him. If he starts I think it could be a long match for Palace. Let’s not underestimate Palace, they have the ability to shock Chelsea but I don’t think that will happen.
Prediction: Chelsea to win 2-0. (Pedro to score).

Huddersfield vs Fulham (Monday, 9pm).
A must win game for both teams and any of them could win. I will be siding Huddersfield here because of home advantage as well as Fulham’s disaster of a defence. Fulham score goals but concede more. Huddersfield are yet to win a game this season and I think they’ve been unlucky in some games. I hope everything clicks for them. Fulham have to find a way to shore up their defence to have a realistic chance of getting three points here.
Prediction: Huddersfield to win 2-1. (Depoitre to score).
