Gameweek Thirty Three Preview

I’m here with another round of premier league match predictions. Game week thirty-three provides six games only, as there are teams involved in the FA cup semifinals this weekend as well. You can read through the preview for the six PL matches here.

Southampton vs Liverpool (Friday, 8pm).
I think Liverpool were a bit fortunate to get all the points against Spurs last time out, they have to keep grinding out results like that to win the league. Any loss for them now would spell trouble. They’ve not exactly been at their devastating best but at this point, it’s the result that counts, they have to keep getting positive ones. Southampton won’t make it easy for them, the saints are also trying to steer clear of the relegation red line and they also need all the points they can get to achieve their goal but I think they will lose this one. Liverpool’s resilience should help them get the game over the line.
Prediction: Liverpool to win 2:0. (Mane to score).

Bournemouth vs Burnley (Saturday, 3pm).
This game would be down to who adapts tactically faster because I think both teams who go for it. Bournemouth would want to move on faster from their loss last weekend when Leicester overwhelmed them in the second half while Burnley returned to their basics and were successful against Wolves. It’s still very much an important game because Burnley are yet to be safe. For the result, if Burnley continue like last week, they may get something out of the game, otherwise it could beyond them.
Prediction: 2-2 Draw. (Wilson to score).

Huddersfield vs Leicester City (Saturday, 3pm).
It’s been uphill for 7777Leicester since Rodgers came in, he has made them a better team surely, he has also got key players like Vardy, Wes Morgan, Youri Tielemans involved and firing. It’s really hard not to call a win for them and I’ll be surprised if they don’t win. Huddersfield’s relegation has been confirmed and it will be interesting to see the direction in which the club decides to go from here on. This match though, with the form, confidence and energy Leicester is playing with, Huddersfield will work extremely hard to match them and with the reintroduction of Maguire back into the side, another clean sheet is likely.
Prediction: Leicester to win 2:0. (Vardy to score).

Newcastle vs Crystal Palace (Saturday, 3pm).
On Wednesday evening, I wasn’t really expecting Palace to beat Spurs but I certainly wasn’t expecting them to be rolled over, they are so much better than that and they have to remembering ber they aren’t exactly safe yet. They’ve got to play better, don’t they. Newcastle also disappointed me on Monday, they just sat there and allowed Arsenal play. Rafa Benitez has to pick them up and keep their recent home record as well. I’ll side them to beat Crystal Palace but I think the game will be close.
Prediction: Newcastle to win 2-1. (Rondon to score).

Everton vs Arsenal (Sunday, 2:05pm).
Seven games left and Arsenal have five of them away from home. They aren’t very comfortable on the road but they have to win almost all to secure champions league football. The top four race is so hot, any loss can send you tumbling down, ask Manchester United. Arsenal rarely loses at Everton though but the blue side of Merseyside might have found form at the right time, they are also fighting for that seventh spot. I just hope Everton’s inconsistency doesn’t come to play here again otherwise, they’ll be totally found out by Arsenal. Arsenal still have to very cautious and also tighten up at the back. It’s a big big game and I’ll Arsenal to get the points.
Prediction: Arsenal to win 3-2. (Richarlison to score).

Chelsea vs WestHam (Monday, 8pm).
Chelsea eased past Brighton on Wednesday and I thought they played some really good football, I expect something similar here too. With this game coming on a Monday, their Europa League match could play into the coach’s mind and maybe decide who starts and who gets rested for the Thursday game. Regardless of who starts this game, West Ham will have their work cut out for them. The Hammers almost don’t have anything to play for again but it will be good if they get themselves together and keep Chelsea a game. It’s a London derby and it will be a very nice watch.
Prediction: Chelsea to win 3:1. (Hazard to score).
