Gameweek Twelve Preview

One more match week before we head for the last international break of this year. Tantalising games which includes a Manchester Derby which could be pivotal to how the title race goes, this and other games I’ll preview as you read on.

Cardiff vs Brighton (Saturday, 1:30pm).
The bluebirds are at home and they have to make their home a fortress against teams like Brighton if they realistically want to remain in the league, they have to pick out points from the the teams around them. They have to win this game, with their set piece threats, their sit back and counter, they have to do something. Brighton won’t go easy on them as well, I know in past times I’ve not backed Brighton whenever they are away but I think I’m siding them this time because i feel Cardiff gives too much to their opponents.
Prediction: Brighton to win 2:1. (Groß to score).

Huddersfield vs WestHam United (Saturday, 4pm).
Massive result for Huddersfield last week when they got their first win of the season but WestHam might not be the team they wish they face next. WestHam picked Burnley apart last week, if they carry that moral to this game then a similar result could be on cards. Huddersfield will defend and set up barricades but I believe WestHam will have too much for them.
Prediction: WestHam win 3-1. (Arnautovic to score).

Leicester City vs Burnley (Saturday, 4pm).
First match at the King Power after the tragedy, I’m sure it will feel emotional but they’ve got to stay strong and get a result, I was pleased with how they did last week and how they didn’t allow the situation overwhelmed them. Good thing is Burnley doesn’t look a threat at the moment. Burnley need points badly but I’m not sure they can pull a shocker here at the rate at which they concede goals.
Prediction: Leicester to win 2-0. (Vardy to score).

Newcastle vs Bournemouth (Saturday, 4pm).
Newcastle was another team that got a first victory of the season last week, Boy how long they’ve waited for that but I think they face a daunting task of defeating Bournemouth who I must say were somehow unlucky last week against Man United. The game should have been over by first half but they let their opponents back into the game, if you want to be a top team, I think you have to kill the game as early as possible. This match will be great to watch, Rafa Benitez will to keep winning but I think Bournemouth will not lose here.
Prediction: Bournemouth to win 2-1. (Fraser to score).

Southampton vs Watford (Saturday, 4pm).
Mark Hughes is under pressure going into this game, he and this team have won just one game at home in almost a year and I think Watford will come and beat them as well. Although, I don’t fully trust this Watford and they are very difficult to predict but I think they will be the better side at Saint Marys today.
Prediction: Watford to win 2-1. (Pereya to score).

Crystal Palace vs Tottenham (Saturday, 6:30pm).
The win over PSV in midweek might take a toll on Spurs, they had to dig deep to get that win. Palace at home is another animal, at least we learnt that against Arsenal, they try to get as many points they can while a Selhurst Park. This game will be tough for both sides and Spurs might have to dig even deeper to get a win here.
Prediction: Spurs to win 2-1. (Lamela to score).

Liverpool vs Fulham (Sunday, 1pm).
Wrong team, wrong place, wrong time for Fulham this week. I don’t think Slavisa Jokanovic would have begged for this. Fulham ship in goals like goods and Liverpool knows how to score goals. Liverpool will have the option of fielding a full strength team since we are heading for an international break after this week even though that the team’s early season momentum has slowed down of recent but Anfield is where they get their mojo. Jokanovic knows his job is on the line and what a bad time to face a team with such strength as Liverpool.
Prediction: Liverpool to win 4-1. (Mane to score).

Chelsea vs Everton (Sunday, 3:15pm).
Tough game for both. Everton were very impressive last week with that win starring Richarlison and Chelsea has to be wary of this other blue team. I don’t think Chelsea’s unbeaten run will end here, Hazard is back now and Morata is finding the back of the net. I believe Everton with give them a run for their money but Chelsea has too much quality to decide the game at any time.
Prediction: Chelsea to win 3-1. (Barkley to score).

Arsenal vs Wolves (Sunday, 5:30pm).
Wolves almost did a comeback against Spurs last week and they can as well shock Arsenal. Earlier in the season, Wolves were scoring very few but conceding very few as we’ll so they were getting points, now that they are conceding more, it’s only right that they score more as well. Arsenal’s winning streak has stalled, they are picking draws now, they have to be on top of their game to win this.
Prediction: Arsenal to win 2-0. (Aubameyang to score).

Manchester City vs Manchester United (Sunday, 5:30pm).
These two teams had big results over the week in the European games and would be confident heading into this game especially United. This is a game United can’t afford to have a slow start because City could blitz them and in a flash the game could be over. We can rave all about City’s attack but if United’s attack should turn up as well, we could have a real game here. Jose Mourinho’s big game defensive resilience will be very useful for them in this game. Logically I’ll go for a home win but the game and state of play will be very decisive for both them. I hope they both give us a game to remember.
Prediction: City to win 3-1. (Aguero to score).
