Game Week 4 Preview & Prediction

The Premier League rules have been the major talking point this season. Handballs, fouls, use of VAR have had their say in the games so far. We enter into a game week where handball rules are now a bit relaxed, will it have an impact? We will see for sure. Here is the preview for the games this weekend.

Chelsea vs Crystal Palace (Saturday, 12:30 pm)
Frank Lampard and his team were able to get away with their disastrous first half last time out. Like I said last week, He is yet to figure out what his best line-up is, and his defence is still all over the place. In the attack phase, I think they always look like scoring. There can be improvements, but that has to come quickly. Palace have started the season on a high and were unlucky to lose in the last game. They always keep things pretty tight and they have the tools to hurt Chelsea in this game, especially on the counter. It’s a tough game, and I see it going either way, so I’m going for a draw.
Prediction: Chelsea 2:2 Palace. (Timo Werner to score).

Everton vs Brighton & Hove Albion (Saturday, 3:00 pm)
What a start for Carlo Ancelloti this season. They are scoring goals at ease, which shows their intent for the season. They probably need to look towards cleaning up a bit at the back, for days they can’t out-score their opponents. Dominic Calvert-Lewin might be a revelation this season. Brighton were absolutely unlucky to lose against Manchester United. If they keep playing that way this season, they will be nowhere near relegation problems. It will be interesting to see how they match up with Everton who can’t stop scoring at the moment. I’m surely backing the Merseysiders for a big win at home though.
Prediction: Everton 3:1 Brighton. (Dominic Calvert-Lewin to score).

Leeds United vs Manchester City (Saturday, 5:30 pm)
This match promises lots of fun and lots of “tiki-taka” to watch. A lot of teams tend to sit back when facing Pep Guardiola’s side but I think Leeds won’t here. Marcelo Bielsa is still completing his team and adding necessary personnel to departments. The could pose real threats to City. The Manchester Blues looked lost against Leicester City last week and Pep will hope that kind of performance never comes around again. I’m sure he’ll have a plan against the manager that he has so much admiration for. Surely a game to look at for this weekend.
Prediction: Leeds 2:4 Man City. (Raheem Sterling to score).

Newcastle United vs Burnley (Saturday, 8:00 pm)
Burnley have to start winning games. Indeed recruitment has not been good but they can’t rest on that. They have to push on and they should start here against Newcastle. The Magpies have been extremely lucky in their last to games. They have to be careful not to lose here. Their recruitment has been in contrast to Burnley’s. They should take advantage of that. Scoring goals will always win you games and I believe Newcastle should be doing more of that with their firepower.
Prediction: Newcastle 2:1 Burnley. (Callum Wilson to score).
