New PL Season Fan Expectations: Liverpool

Few weeks past after Liverpool’s first league triumph in 30 years, how are we fairing ahead of our first title defence? Liverpool has been quite quiet in the transfer window bringing a squad player, Kostas Tsimiskas, to fill the hole in our left-back position. Although we’ve been linked to other players like Thiago Alcantara, Ismaila Sarr and Diego Carlos, things have been slow.
Liverpool resumed the season late last month in a training camp in Austria, with the addition of injured players including Xherdan Shaqiri, Joel Matip, Divock Origi, Trent Alexander Arnold and Jordan Henderson, all to first-team training.

Our season starts with a tricky fixture against last season’s champion of EFL championship led by the very articulated Marcelo Bielsa, it’s tricky but, I feel we’d come out on top as we always do. With a busy, jam-packed schedule we have this season it is quite important we add players to the already elite team and fill missing spots in our defence and midfield as we are yet to replace Dejan Lovren and Adam Lallana. This will cause issues as we are going into the season with only three recognized Centre Backs as this will cause issues.

I would expect that we win the league again because of the Klopp effect, also he’s won the league back to back with Dortmund in 2011 and 2012 season, he can do it here again with his winning mentality and squad together giving us the edge against the closest rival(s).
